There are several moms who are staying at home because they have a small child to take care of, or a sick child to look after or some have quit their jobs to look after their children, but the good news is you can still do all these and make some cash.

Who wouldn’t want to make some extra cash? Nobody. There are some online jobs that you can in the comfort of your home.

This becomes even enjoyable because you do your work at your own free will, at your own pace, no boss nagging you around and at the same time bond with your children. However, your speed matters in online jobs because if your speed is fast, then you can make good money.

Sounds great, yeah! Well, the following are a list of jobs that you can do from home as a stay at home mum.

  1. Article writing

There are many article websites which are always looking for content and ideas to expand their traffic base and increase their profits. And because of this, they’ll need people to write for them. And you will get paid for this.

If you love writing and would like to share your knowledge with the world, then this job is for you. Just find the topics which interest you most, research on them and come up with a great article. If you are not a native English speaker then you can take an IELTS exam, or similar, at an English language school.   1. Transcription

Transcription is converting an audio into a text. You simply listen to an audio and write whatever you hear. There are guidelines for each and every site, some sites you’ll be told to type each and every word you hear while some you’ll be told to type only important words [clean verbatim].

This job requires people with accurate listening abilities and fast speed in typing. So, if you have these traits, then you can go for transcription.

  1. Data Entry Job

Data entry is a very popular job today. It entails reading data from one source and typing it into another source. Many businesses collect data such as research data, customer details, product details etc. and so they need to put them together and for this, they need data entry clerks.

Data entry can be done by anybody so long as you have;

  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience working with MS Word
  • Fast and accurate typing skills.
  1. Proofreading

This one entails reading a text to check if there are mistakes in spelling, grammar, punctuation, style, and capitalization and then correcting them.

With the very many blogs, articles and social media on the rise, there’s a huge demand for quality content and it’s for this reason that proofreaders are needed.

This job is for anybody who loves to write and read. The skills required is the perfect reading comprehension skills and the ability to speak and write in Fluent English.

  1. Blog

Blogging is one of the easiest ways to make money while at home although it can take a while before you start making cash. But there’s no rush you have to be patient because, in the long run, it’ll be worth it.

Consider the following when starting a blog:

  • Your blog should be something that interests you e.g. If you love fashion then it should be a fashion blog.
  • Use your experience when blogging, because you’ll be blogging out of an experience.
